Will of William Holder - 15 May 1817 Original Will, on file in Raleigh, NC Archives CR 073.801 In the name of God Amen I William Holder of the County of Orange and State of North Carolina being at this time of a sound and perfect mind and memory Blessed be God therefore, Do this Fifteenth day of May Eighteen Hundred and Seventeen; do[sic] make and publish this my last will and testament in the following manner, Viz I give and Bequeath all my lands and tennaments also all my personal Proproperty[sic] of every King to my Beloved Wife Mourning to be possessed by her during her life or Widowhood; and after her decease to be sold and equally divided between my Children Viz Chesley, William, Daniel, Polly, John, Hosea, Lydia Nancy, Elijah and Elisha ------ And I do hereby Nominate and appoint my Son Chesley Holder to be my Executor of this my last will and testament; and I do hereby revoke and annul all and every will heretofore made. And further I do hereby publish and declare this to be my last will and testament.
