Will of Mary A Dorch - 12 Apr 1915 Original Will, on file in Raleigh, NC Archives CR 073.801 NORTH CAROLINA ORANGE COUNTY "In the name of God" AMEN" I, Mary Dorch of the aforesaid county and state, being of sound mind, but considering the uncertainty of my earthly existance, do make and declair this my last will and testament: First, my executor, hereinafter named, shall give my body a decent burial, suitable to my station in life and pay all my funeral expences together with all my just debts, out of the first moneys that shall shall[sic] come into the hands of of[sic] my executor, belonging to my estate. Second, I give and devise to my beloved cousin Samuel Walker, the son of George Walker, the tract of land that I now own, at the date of this Will, the said tract of land is know at the John Dorch Place, situated on the Oxford Road a few hundred yards West, or nearly so, of John Lockhart's, it is also near St. Mary's Chapel, between the said St. Mary's Chapel an the road that runs toward the City of Durham from Lockhart's Crossing, containing about eighty acres. Third,I give and bequeath to my beloved Cousin,Samuel Walker all of my moneys that I may have on hand at my death, all notes. mortgages, securities of any kind whatsoever. Moreover I will and bequeath to Samuel Walker all things that I posess. Fourth, I hereby constitute and appoint my trusty friend, William Walker, the son of George Walker, my lawful executor to all intents and purpose, to execute this my last will and testament, accordin to the true in tent and meaning of the same [page 2] and every part and clause thereof_hereby revoking and declairing utterly void all other Wills and and Testaments by me heretofore made.
