Will of Rebecca Bacon - 1886 Original Will, on file in Raleigh, NC Archives CR 073.801 I Rebecca Bacon of the County of Orange and State of North Carolina being of sound Mind and Memory and knowing the certainty of Death and the uncertainty of life, do Make and declare this My last will and testament in Manner and form as follows - that is to say- Item - I give and bequeath to My son Wm H. Bacon all that parcel of land lying and being on the west side of the ridge road and bounded as follows, beginning at A. L Holden's & Rebecca Bacons Corner on Wm H, Bacons line, thence East with A.L. Holdens line to said Ridge Road, thence south, with the meanders of said Road to W.H. Bacons line thence North said line to the beginning Containing five acres more or less. Item, I give and bequeath to my daughters Johanna Bacon and Ellen L. Bacon the remainder of my home place, that is to say - after deducting the five acres already given to my son Wm. H. Bacon. Item, I give and bequeath to my Daughters Rebecca F. Wilson and Martha S.Dollar the sum of twenty-five dollars each. Item, I give and bequeath to My son James W Bacon the sum of fifty cents.
